I want to be a PRINCESS BOY!

Home from my last day of my amazing internship (Teardrop), and I came across this link involving a little boy who loves wearing dresses and his encouraging mother who wrote a book to school the public and make a profit. It's so interesting you can't look away.

I wonder what the long term effects will be for the little boy as he grows older. Will he continue to wear pink and dress in dresses and skirts, will he begin to like boys and take on stereotypical female traits, or will he grow up and conform to what society to believes to be "proper" boy/man behavior and regret or feel ashamed and feel embarassed by his childhood and resent his mother for the exploitation?!?!?!

I definitley applaud the mother for accepting her child as he is, and allowing him the opportunity to explore his likes, dislikes, and preferences. I rememeber working at KB Toys and watching some little boys throw tantrums in front of the princess dress up section, because their mother refused to buy them a dress. Maybe the toy companies should take a hint and make army and "boy toys" more appealing. I mean "bling" "diamond" "rhinestone" or admired by all poor and rich, so why not bling out some army trucks and army hat and make some pink plastic army guys not only for the little boy who likes the color pink, but for the little girls who like playing with "boy toys".

Anyway i'm tired but felt the need to post this.
