Another Year Older!

Author: The InExperienced Expert // Category: , , ,
Que Pasa Blog World!,

My birthday was last week, so I am a year older! (AHHHHHH!!!!!!) Definitely in my mid-life crisis phase! Since my official graduation walk, I have been applying every and any where. I went on a 2-part interview that I was "over-qualified" for. I hate when people penalize you for being over qualified for something, isn't that more reason for you to want to use me?!!?!?

Not letting this cruel Job Search process get the best of me, I'm still applying to other possible opportunities. My current employers are looking to make me full-time, yay! for more money especially at a  pay rate that I will love, but I'm still looking for a dream job within my field. At the end of the day I went to school for a reason, and I would love to use my degree some what.

The only other thing that has been taking up my time is nail, nails, and more nails.

Instead of posting individual nail blog post, I usually post all my latest desgins and nails on this post Miss. Picasso Lee Nail Art. Here are the latest creations below:

Lion's Den

Author: The InExperienced Expert // Category:
I need an outlet, so I guess I'll just write. My bestie birthday was yesterday a "Cinco de Mayo" baby at heart, and we decided to go to Chevy's for their happy hour/all night celebration. There were so many people, we were more like a can of sardines floating in a beer flavored water. Although I was more like the designated driver for the night. I was having a good time because everyone was having a good time, just chilling. We decided to leave to go to a local bar/lounge which was having their own party. It was completely dead in the beginning, but we made the best of it and we all were having a good time. Maybe too good of a time because of course someone decided to ruin our Fun Train, by starting an all out brawl and jumping one of the people that I was with. I'm not a fighter and I typically stay away from any types of fight, but it felt like a Lioness with her cubs. I immediately got involved not to fight the 10 people who wanted to fight 1 person, but to protect and to shield the 1 person that matter to me. It broke my heart into a million pieces to see all that happen, but I'm just super glad that it didn't get an uglier than what it was.

I'll never understand the Pride/Ego Fights that people like to have at parties, and I don't think i'll ever will. Guess its time to get my dancing shoes bronzed and hung on a trophy shelf or to find a new crowd.

WE DEFINITELY GOT TO DO BETTER! WE ALL DESERVE BETTER THAN FIGHTING EACH OTHER.

SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!

Midnight tonite I get my Facebook & Twitter back!!!!!! Of course it kind of means absolutely nothing because I'm leaving the country for about week causing me to unplug myself completely of my phone in fear of roaming and high phone bills.

It was definitely hard, but it was all for a good reason. I'm super glad I lasted the whole 46 Days. Go Me!

Scissor Happy!¡!¡!

18 Days too late, but so what! The Day after April's Fools Day in the midst of washing my hair I fell in love with my natural texture all over again. I stopped getting relaxers for well over 6 months so I had a ton of new growth. I was playing with a hair product called Eco styled that defined the he'll out of my curls only leaving behind stupid straggly straight pieces of relaxed hair. That was the point I decided to grab my scissors and fully cross over to the natural side.

Finished Puff - 4/2/11

Braidout Hair - 4/21/11

Those who don't know me know I have never had short hair it has always been shoulder or armpit length, so this is a big change. However I am embracing it completely, and I can't wait to see a lot more of my natural hair.

Happy Growing to me!!!!!

I used to be heavy on getting acrylic nail sets done with nail art at the beauty salon, but each trip was an experienced in itself. I love living in the hood for the good bargains and discounts, but I hate the extra stuff I have to deal with along with my good discount. First off you have to deal with the loud mouths who feel the need to get their services, and to tell everyone in the store their business by being super loud and obnoxious! Then you have the seat reserver/eye roller, the one who wants the owner Mr. Lee himself to do their nails and feels the needs to abuse and side each every customer or nail tech who prevents her from doing that. I loved getting my nails, but I felt like I was being punished at the same time. You also have to remember that nails require touch-ups which means I'm punishing myself bi-weekly. Double FML.

So anyhow lately I have increased my nail polish from like 5 to like 30 or so. I also purchased a nail stamping kit and some rhinestones to help my creative juices to flow. I have managed to come up with some cute designs, and I also have managed to fail a couple of times (I'm still learning proper stamping techniques! lol )

Anyhow here are some of my creations:

(Disclaimer: Please do not just my overspill of paint and appearance of ashiness. It is the my excitement to post before clean-up/topcoat and the lighting that i take the pics in)

Wherefore art thou blog?!?!?

Author: The InExperienced Expert // Category:
Hey Blog World! This weekend has been hectic and quiet at the same time. It was mi madre birthday so we spoiled her and took her to this Cuban restaurant that has an amazing fried red snapper dish. I brought her Zumba for her Nintendo Wii (I'm sooooo plottin' on that) and I brought her a watch too that I wanted to return so bad just because I felt like she made up wanting it. I honestly feel like she couldn't think of anything else to add to her "Daughter-Buy-Me-List:" (My mom is super spoiled. We give her everything her non-tech working behind can imagine!)

Anyhow I baked a Lemon Raspberry cake that i pulled off of the Betty Crocker website. All who knows me, know that I am not a fan of the kitchen, but I manuveured around and managed to make some bomb ass frosting and my cake was 2 LAYERS with filling in the middle!!!! I think I deserve some credit!!! Anyway my mom said it was good but that could have been a mom answer. My sister's "bitter dose of reality" children didn't hesistate to tell me they weren't feeling it too much. My boyfriend also felt the need to tell me the flavors didn't mix. I still think lemon raspberry is an awesome combo. I think it was too much lemon going on, and I didn't care for fresh raspberry or the candied lemon zest as I imagined. Some times things are better enjoyed when left simple (i.e. some homemade cake and frosting is sufficient enough). Here are some pics of my cake.

On another note: Currently job searching and hating it/beyond frustrated by it. I have a daily list of employment sites i visit religiously. I mean I watch a million reality shows with plenty of talentless people or work or encounter people in positions without the mental capacity to back up their title. Nothing in life comes easy, so I'll continue My Post-Grad Hustle & Flow Lifestyle.
Anyway I'll be in Jamaica in 2 weeks so take that Corporate America!!!! ;op

1 Step Forward, 2 Step Back

Author: The InExperienced Expert // Category:
I recently purchased my beloved iPad 2. My iPad 2 was pretty serendipitous in itself because it was by luck that my sister’s co-worker happened to have an extra one. Of course being the tech junkie/closet apple product lover that I am, I couldn’t let this luck of fortune past me by. It took a little money scraping and favor-asking, but I got my iPad2 the next day, and it was love at first click/swipe. Now I have suffered the consequences of budget lunches/dinners and now a temp turned off cell phone, just because I chose my iPad 2.

The people in my life keep waving that red flag in my face saying, “Oh that is because you brought that stupid iPad”, ensuring that I don’t forget I brought myself an elaborate present. However they are completely forgetting the fact that getting the iPad 2 right now is either a lucky walk-in at a store or a 3 week waiting period game. I GOT LUCKY!!!! So what my phone is not working for approximately 8 hours, phone conversations are overrated! So what I have been eating Ramen more than once or sharing food with my 2 year old nieces!!!! It’s better than nothing. I work hard to splurge on myself every once in awhile, even if it is a little outrageous.

If it weren’t for my chance of luck, I would have stuck to my budget methods and got my iPad 2 or e –book reader device when the time was right. Seriously though how many times have you guys saw a shorter cashier line and opted to continue waiting in the long line with the extremely slow and careless cashier, or how many time have you gone to the amusement park and paid the $15 VIP pass so you can ride the faster without the lines.

While you are shaking your head at me with your judgmental eyes! I’ll be an app ahead of you HATER!

Girl Scouts Gone Techy!!!!

Author: The InExperienced Expert // Category:
As I begin this post by typing it on my new iPad, I shake my head in amazement at how our world has changed. I just got off Yahoo.com and came across an article talking about equipping Girl Scouts with credit card swiping smartphone machine to help increase the facility of cookie sales. It made me laugh a little bit I didn't know if I should compare the cute little girl scout to a bible waving Jehovah witness dedicated to weekly harassment sermons or to the pesky telemarketer ready to supply u with the new coolest gadget and only needs ya card to send u a trial.

Lol regardless I guess good job for the Girl Scouts of America, and for the little girl that will use is cool device or manage their mini cookie empire it will be great job/business experience. For all you no money having people that deny the girl scouts standing in front of your local supermarket, you will need to come up with new excuses.
